Lorraine Almeida “Deciding to move to West Marin twenty-two years ago, I was comforted greatly knowing that West Marin Senior Services was here to help me stay in my home. I donate regularly to the agency, and I have put them in my will. I want to make sure that they will be here for many years to come. If I can die in my home, I will die with a smile.” |

Henry Horowitz and wife, Eugenia Loyster – Point Reyes Station: “We started as volunteers with West Marin Senior Services, cooking meals for seniors. That was our first connection with WMSS. Now we are the beneficiaries of its programs and dedicated staff. We return to Stockstill House for the “Monthly Teas” and to visit with the other residents and staff, who became our good friends, when I had a short stay there.”

Maidee Moore, resident of Inverness,
“Years ago I started a children’s swim
program in Tomales Bay. I hadn’t been
swimming for two years and decided it
was high time that we had something for
seniors who love to swim. Susan, care
manager, got volunteers and staff to support
an outing to Heart’s Desire Beach.
“Senior Swim” is going full steam ahead now. ’m gratefulfor Susan’s enthusiasm as well as her support for me at home. ”

Lillian Letter, a resident of Bolinas, “I was very
impressed when I first joined theBoard of Directors
of West Marin Senior Services in 1981. The idea to keep people in their homes for as long as possible just makes good sense, especially for those of us in West Marin… I’m reaching the point where I might need more help, but right now I sure do appreciate Barbara, care manager, just stopping by to see me and giving me a ride now and then.”
