Easter Baskets with Blessings and Love
By Joan Corbett, Executive Director

Easter Baskets Packed and Ready for Delivery

For many years, seniors in West Marin have been the recipients of beautiful Easter baskets from St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ross. “We believe our hands- on work and our financial contributions are making a meaningful impact on those less fortunate. We look forward to continuing to share God’s love and blessings abundantly and joyfully in the years ahead!” Beautiful words from our friends at St. John’s. Once again, I had the joy of picking up 20 beautiful baskets in Ross, piling them in my car, and delivering them to the hands of our care managers who took these lovely gifts to those less fortunate in West Marin. We are blessed.

Board and Staff Retreat on Branding

What are we promising to our clients, their families, our volunteers and donors?  This was the topic of our annual Board/Staff retreat a few weeks ago. We shared stories and talked about internal perceptions, community perceptions, our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, how we define ourselves, our tagline, logo, and name. Who are we and what do we do?

  • We are care managers, not caregivers.
  • We provide solutions to help seniors age gracefully in their home.
  • We are the single point of contact for older adults and their families.
  • We can’t do it all, but we can help find the answers.
  • We want to be a community resource on aging, serving “younger” older adults as well as the elderly, no matter what their means.
  • We connect seniors to services.
  • We provide expert management of older adult care.
  • We have a superb assisted living facility (Stockstill House).
We are looking at all of our communication materials to make sure that our message is consistent and comprehensive.  The retreat helped us get on the same page.
